- admission to the Programme
- housing in a student residence
- a fee bursary for the Programme, if you are a full-time student [the proportion of total fees that will be reimbursed depends on funding]
- a partial reimbursement of transportation and lodging expenses, if you live outside the Greater Toronto Area
Eligibility
Everyone with sufficient background and interest is eligible to participate in the Programme. If it is necessary to select among applicants, preference will be given to Canadian university researchers, researchers and policy analysts from public and not-for-profit research organizations, graduate and undergraduate students, and data librarians, who are working or expect to work with data, such as those generated by Statistics Canada's complex longitudinal surveys.

Financial Support
Financial support to help cover transportation and lodging expenses is available to participants who live outside the Greater Toronto Area. Fee bursaries are available to subsidize the Programme fees of full-time students.
Deadlines
The deadline for applications is February 17, 2006 and applicants will be notified of the result by March 3, 2006. Late applications will be accepted if space in the Programme is available.
Payment
Payment for Programme fees and, if applicable, a deposit of $50.00 for residence, must reach us by March 17, 2006. Cancellations prior to the beginning of the Programme will receive a refund of fees and housing deposit, less 10% for processing.

SPIDA is funded through the Canadian Initiative on Social Statistics, a joint project of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and Statistics Canada.
