Science, and many religions, tell us that we are all descended from common ancestors.

No matter how different we appear, or how far apart we live on this Earth,
we are all literally cousins at some remove.*

Prospects for lasting peace might improve if we could learn to accept strangers, even enemies, as the long-lost relatives that they truly are.
