Welcome to the Developmental Disabilities & Mental Health Lab
Welcome to the Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health lab. Our research focuses on the prevention and treatment of mental health problems in people with developmental disabilities across the lifespan: People with autism spectrum disorders and/or intellectual disabilities.
We aim to understand and address mental health in people with developmental disabilities in many ways. We conduct studies that involve individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and the larger health and social service systems.
Our research is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the Department of Canadian Heritage (Sport Canada), and the Ontario Mental Health Foundation. Dr. Weiss holds the Chair in Autism Spectrum Disorders Treatment and Care Research.
Are you looking for a funded postdoctoral fellowship in ASD and mental health research? We have a new position to fill, funded by the Chair in Autism Spectrum Disorders Treatment and Care Research.
