In Weeks 3-12 one-hour workshops are held between the hours of 4:30 and 6:30 to enable you to apply and develop the material covered in the lectures. The workshop groups are the same as the LRW groups with groups 1 and 2 being held at 4:30 and groups 3 and 4 being held at 5:30. Any students assigned to groups 3 or 4 who have pressing commitments that prevent them from attending a workshop at 5:30 will need to be replaced students assigned to groups 1 or 2 who are able to attend at that time. Please be considerate of your classmates, either by asking to switch into a 4:30 group only if you have a commitment that you cannot reschedule, or by offering to switch into a 5:30 group if you are able to do so. The law firm of Torys have kindly supported this course by providing a team of members of the Litigation Department to lead the workshops. They help students to develop a case file through a series of assignments relating to steps typically taken in the pre-trial stages of litigation. Groups 1 and 3 will represent the plaintiff(s) and groups 2 and 4 will represent the defendant(s) in the case. Here is the schedule of topics followed in the 2000 course.
