|Step 1: Passport York Account|
Students are required to have an active Passport York account to access the course websites. Sign up for a Passport York username and password in order to proceed with course website access.
If you already have a Passport York account, please proceed to Step 2.
|Step 2: York U Student E-mail Account|
Students are required to have an active York U e-mail account and check it regularly for course announcements and important notices from instructors. Broadcast e-mails are NOT sent to preferred e-mail accounts, and will only be sent to York U e-mail accounts. It is vital that you activate your account and check it regularly throughout the duration of your distance education course.
If you already have an active York U e-mail account, please proceed to Step 3.

|All students are expected to obtain a YU-Card.|
|Step 4: Personal Contact Information|
|Update your mailing address, phone, fax, e-mail information from your Student Record Online - Office of the Registrar.|
|Step 5: Course website Instructions|
Read and follow your course's unique instructions below by course type and term.
|Step 6: Course Materials|
|Purchase your required textbooks, course kits and/or materials listed at the course outline from the York University Bookstore.|
|Step 7: eLearning - Distance Education website|
|Refer to the eLearning - Distance Education Website for information about the specialized administration support, and resources available to students.|
