The ability to read and speak Portuguese allows you to communicate in one of the major international languages or organizations such as Mercosul, United Nations or European Union.

Portuguese is an ideal match with any program. As a BA or a minor, Portuguese will enhance your York University education. Although it is a natural match with Humanities and Social Science programs like Latin American Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, History and Communications, Portuguese may also inform programs in the natural and physical sciences such as Kinesiology and Biology.
