Spanish Program

Spanish — Redefine the Possible

Spanish is an ideal match with any Program. As a specialization, as part of a double major, or as a minor, Spanish will enhance your York University education. Although it is a natural match with Humanities and Social Science Programs like Latin American Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, History and Communications, Spanish may also inform Programs in the natural and physical sciences such as Kinesiology and Biology.

What can Spanish do for my career?

Our Program is an ideal foundation for work in many different areas. Qualified bilingual graduates are in demand in fields such as national and international law, business and finance, the media, social services, medicine, education and hospitality. The ability to read and speak Spanish allows you to communicate in one of the major international languages. With the NAFTA agreement between the United States, Canada and Mexico, Spanish has become even more essential in the world of international commerce.
