The Fellowship Committee of the Bibliographical Society of America has voted to offer the Katharine F. Pantzer Senior Fellowship in Bibliography and the British Book Trades for 2012 to Prof. James Carley. The award is in the amount of $6000.

The Committee noted that it evaluated a large number of applications from scholars residing in three continents working in nearly a dozen different disciplines, with many extremely strong proposals. Prof. Carley's research agenda stood out in particular, and all members spoke highly of his work.
