Seneca College - Broadcasting - Radio (Diploma)

Broadcasting draws from popular culture (music, drama, news, art) and creates an instantaneous and simultaneous mass audience.

This program offers pre-professional training in radio production and presentation skills necessary for careers as a radio announcer, radio station disc jockey, music programmer, radio script writer, radio broadcaster. It gives students a high degree of competency that will prepare them to begin careers within the broadcast industry. Students gain the fundamental skills in on-air presentation, scriptwriting and audio production necessary to create and produce effective radio programming. This program is recommended for students interested in radio broadcasting in the context of radio stations.

This joint program between Seneca College and York University allows students to earn a Seneca diploma in Broadcasting Radio and a York University Bachelor of Arts Degree. The program is for students who have completed two years of a BA program or three years of an honours BA program at York University. Information on the joint program may be obtained from the Advising Centre, York University, or from the Admissions Office, Seneca College.
