Council Nominations

Nominations are open.

VOTING

The balloting will be conducted through the facility of the Office of the Faculty Council via an e-vote.  Nominees’ full name and their department/school will appear on the ballots.  All members of the Liberal Arts & Professional Studies Faculty Council shall be eligible to vote via e-vote.  Provisions will be made for those who are unable to vote online.

VICE-CHAIR OF COUNCIL (mandate)

1 VACANCY

(one full-time faculty vacancy for a one year term)

The Vice-Chair of the Councill shall be elected from the members of the Council for a one-year term after at least two nominations have been submitted by the Executive Committee. The Vice-Chair is the Chief Teller and Chief Returning Officer for all elections.The Vice-Chair normally assumes the Chair in the following year. Should the position of Vice-Chair become vacant prior to the end of teh normal term, an election shall be called. The Vice-Chair presides over meetings of the Committee of the Whole.

 

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (mandate)

1 VACANCY

(one full-time faculty for a one year term)

The Executive Committee will normally meet the last Wednesday of each month (September to June) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Room N926N, Ross Building.

ACADEMIC POLICY AND PLANNING COMMITTEE (mandate)

1 VACANCY

(one full-time faculty for a two year term)

The Academic Policy and Planning Committee will normally meet the third Wednesday of each month (September to June) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Room N926N, Ross Building.

TENURE AND PROMOTIONS COMMITTEE (mandate)

5 VACANCIES

(five full-time faculty for a three year term)

The Committee normally meets several times during the months November to June in three rotating panels at the Senate Review Committee. The Committee of the Whole normally meets on Thursdays three times a year.

COMMITTEE ON RESEARCH POLICY AND PLANNING (mandate)

1 VACANCY

(one full-time faculty for a three-year term)

The Committee on Research Policy and Planning will normally meet on the fourth Monday of each month (September - June) from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Room N926N, Ross Building.

COMMITTEE ON TEACHING, LEARNING & STUDENT SUCCESS (mandate)

4 VACANCIES
(one full-time faculty for a three-year term, one contract faculty for a one year term, two teaching assistants for a one year term)

The Committee on Teaching, Learning and Student Success will normally meet on the first Monday of each month (September - June) from 11:30am to 1:00pm in Room N926N Ross Building.

REPRESENTATIVE ON SENATE (mandate)

2 VACANCIES
(two contract-faculty vacancies for a one-year term)

Senate usually meets on the fourth Thursday of each month (September - June) from 3:00pm-5:00pm in the Senate Chamber, Room N940, Ross Building.

SENATE ACADEMIC POLICY, PLANNING AND RESEARCH COMMITTEE (mandate)

1 VACANCY
(one full-time faculty vacancy for a three-year term)

Meetings are held every 2 weeks on Thursdays from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in the Kaneff Tower, Room 1048 unless otherwise indicated.
