To ensure that expenditures are compliant with funding agency requirements as they relate to the procurement of goods and services, researchers are required to be familiar with and adhere to York University's Policy on the Procurement of Goods and Services which can be found online at: http://www.yorku.ca/secretariat/policies/document.php?document=27

Given the University's largely decentralized operating model, the oversight of the procurement function at York is mandated to Procurement Services while the transactions associated with the acquisition of goods and services are initiated by employees or researchers in Faculties and Departments.
