Part-Time Sessional Teaching Opportunities

Accounting: Financial (Introductory)

Courses: AP/ADMS1500, AP/ADMS2500, AP/ADMS3585 and AP/ADMS3595

This area offers courses in accounting for non-accountants, introduction to financial accounting and intermediate accounting. A potential instructor will have an accounting degree, an accounting professional designation along with relevant experience in teaching at university level. Post-graduate degree in business preferred. Preference is given to applicants who have strong teaching evaluations, strong references, excellent communication skills as well as applicants who are comfortable working with on-line learning platforms such as Blackboard, Desire to Learn, Moodle or Web-CT.

Accounting: Management Accounting

Courses: AP/ADMS2510, AP/ADMS 3510, AP/ADMS3502, AP/ADMS4570

A potential instructor will have an accounting degree, a CMA and relevant experience in teaching at university level. Post-graduate degree in business preferred.

Accounting: Advanced (Financial Accounting)

Potential Instructors are required to have a law degree along with relevant teaching experience at either the College or University level. References and teaching evaluations will be required.

Course AP/ADMS 3620: "Element of Law: Part Two"
Potential Instructors are required to have a law degree along with relevant teaching experience at either the College or University level. References and teaching evaluations will be required.

Course AP/ADMS 3660: "Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility"
Potential instructors are required to have a graduate degree in business or philosophy with a specialization in ethics along with relevant teaching experience at either the College or University level. References and teaching evaluations will be required.

Disaster and Emergency Management

A potential Instructor will have a PhD or a master's degree in disaster or emergency management or a field related to the course, or a university degree with a professional designation, along with relevant experience in teaching at either the college or university level. Introduction to Administrative Studies

A potential instructor will have a PhD or a master's degree in management or a field related to the courses, along with relevant experience in teaching at either the college or university level. Professional experience related to the course preferred.

Income Tax Law

Courses: AP/ADMS3520, AP/ADMS4560, AP/ADMS4561, AP/ADMS4562 and AP/ADMS4563

A potential instructor will be an accountant (CA, CGA, CMA, CPA) or a lawyer with a law, accounting or business undergraduate degree, along with at least five years of professional experience and specialist training in tax (e.g. either CICA, CBA or MTax in the case of Canadian income tax). University teaching experience preferred but relevant teaching experience teaching professional development courses to CAs or lawyers considered. Graduate degree in accounting, law or taxation preferred.

Course: AP/ADMS 3524

A potential instructor will have expertise in public finance and/or relevant professional experience. A PhD in areas related to public finance and university teaching experience preferred.

Course: AP/ADMS 4564

A potential instructor will have expertise in tax expenditures and related public policy issues. A PhD in areas related to tax policy and politics and university teaching experience preferred.
