Management
The School of Administrative Studies offers two business management programs: a Bachelor Degree (BAS) with honours specializing in management and a Management Certificate. Both programs provide cutting-edge managerial knowledge and skills that are essential for today's business organizations. Our courses cover a range of topics including leadership, motivation, group dynamics, organizational theory, management, small/new ventures, international business, and strategy, amongst others.
In addition to their extensive teaching expertise, our faculty are active researchers in fields such as organizational behavior and theory, business strategy, and entrepreneurship. Our faculty have published their work in leading management journals, such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Career Development International, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organization Science, Personnel Review, Small Business Economics, and Strategic Management Journal.
The key aim of our programs is to build the 'career capital' of our students so that they can pursue successful careers in both Canadian and international business enterprises (including both for profit and not-for profit sectors). Our graduates have been hired by companies across Canada, the United States, and overseas, such as TD Canada Trust, AC Neilson, HSBC, Bancorp, Best Buy, Rogers, and P&G.
