Parbudyal Singh is the former AACSB Director and Associate Dean of the School of Business, University of New Haven, Connecticut. He has also taught at McMaster University. His PhD studies, completed in 1998, focused on the effects of firm strategy on executive compensation.
Dr. Singh has won numerous scholastic awards, including the Ph.D. best student prize in 1998 from McMaster's School of Business. He is also the recipient of major national competitive graduate student scholarships, other research grants, and the winner of a university teaching award for outstanding teaching quality. He is listed in Marquis's Who's Who in America (2003-04).
Dr. Singh's research covers a broad array of management issues, especially those related to the effects of the changing business environment on human resource management and industrial relations. His work has appeared (or has been accepted for publication) in top refereed journals such as Industrial Relations, Journal of Labor Research, Comparative Labor Law Journal, Labor Law Journal, Labor Studies Journal, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Group and Organization Management, Sociology of Sports Journal, Compensation and Benefits Review, Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences, Canadian Public Administration, Canadian Labor and Employment Law Journal, and the International Journal of Technology Management.
Dr. Singh has worked as a Human Resources and Industrial Relations manager in a large manufacturing company. He has also been a business consultant to many organizations.
