The Department of Sociology, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies invites applications from qualified candidates for a two-year Sessional Assistant Professor position with a specialization in Social Psychology from a Sociological perspective. Applicants must hold a PhD in Sociology or a related discipline and demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in undergraduate teaching, with a background and interest appropriate for teaching courses in this area. Applicants should have a clear research agenda and a record of recent scholarly research relevant to the position. Preference will be given to candidates with a specialization in interactionist approaches to social life, selfhood and questions of intersubjectivity. The appointment carries a teaching load of three full courses or the equivalent.
