His research focuses on: Corporate Social Responsibility and the extractive industry; the relationship between natural resources, sustainable development and conflict in the global south; and political ecology and environmental security. Idemudia's research is geared towards fostering a better link between theory and practice as well as problem-solving.
He has published in a number of peer reviewed journal and specialized reports such as Review of African Political Economy, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management Journal, Business and Society Review, Journal of Corporate Citizenship and the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development Program Paper.
Professor Idemudia has recently been invited to the United Nations in New York, as a guest speaker as well as to participate in an expert group meeting on the use of non-renewable resources revenues for sustainable local development in developing countries.
