Who Qualifies

University is challenging, and success requires responsibility, initiative, motivation, commitment, intellectual curiosity and confidence. Students must be nominated by a high school guidance counselor who recognizes the potential for success of the student in the university environment despite setbacks they may have experienced.

Each student must have completed, or be in the process of completing, the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent. A student's overall grade-point average should be below the regular admission cut-off for Liberal Arts programs in LA&PS (typically mid-70s), but not less than 60 per cent.
