Welcome
The Mentorship for Success Program is a peer-to-peer program that pairs experienced upper-year students ("peer mentors") with students that have requested to be paired with a mentor ("peer mentees").
The Peer Mentorship program provides opportunities for "peer mentees" to build friendships, receive insight about campus activities, and navigate a smooth transition to university - particularly for mentees that are first-year. This program also gives upper year students the opportunity to develop various skills by helping out members of the LA&PS and York community.
Objectives of the Mentorship for Success Program:
- To offer a forum for students to enhance leadership, communication and networking skills;
- To foster professional and personal growth through built experiences for both peer mentors and peer mentees;
- To develop friendships and networks;
- To encourage community involvement; and
- To make a difference
