Visiting and Non-degree Students
Most students who have been admitted to York on a Non-degree basis are visiting students from another university or they have already have a degree and are interested in taking courses for a variety of reasons beyond graduation.
Some Non-degree students are pursuing a certificate or diploma program. Students with questions regarding certificate or diploma program requirements are best advised by the unit offering the program. Contact information is available here.
Other Non-degree students are taking courses beyond graduation with the goal of applying to graduate studies or some sort of professional designation. Students in this situation are encouraged to contact their target program office or institution for information regarding admission and course requirements.
Some Non-degree students are visiting from another university, taking courses on a letter of permission. If students in this situation have questions regarding course selection, they are encouraged to contact their home institution.
