Honouring Effective Teaching: Inaugural Dean's Awards

Successful learning relies heavily upon the strengths of teaching.

Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies professors excel at connecting with our students -- developing community in the classroom, building trust, and provoking honest discussion. As a result, students become more actively engaged in their own education and academic success is greatly increased.

We foster and encourage independent, critical and analytical thinking skills. This helps our students improve their performance both inside and outside the classroom, serving them far beyond the walls of academia and preparing them for the rest of their lives.

Our award-winning professors are as passionate about their courses as their students are, and bring great enthusiasm to the material. From subject experts to published authors, they have the experience and knowledge that inspires others to learn, using the best of both innovative and traditional methods.

In the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, our faculty are dedicated to the academic success of each and every student. We congratulate the recipients of the Inaugural Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence:

We invite you to get a glimpse of elements of their approach to teaching in the videos below.
