Arash Falasiri Arash Falasiri, an award-winning journalist from Iran, will speak on Wednesday November 20 in AP/WRIT 4701 Journalism Ethics: A Practical and Theoretical Approach. Arash is now pursuing his Ph.D. in Social & Political Thought at York University. He worked for more than a decade as a journalist in Iran and in 2001 he received his country's award for best journalist.

For the past eight years, Arash has continued working as a freelance journalist, and writes for journals such as OpenDemocracy, ABC, and Online Opinion. Arash is a recent winner of the prestigious Joseph-Armand Bombardier Grant or 'Super SSHRC' for his project on "Double Definition of Democracy; Dialectic of Truth."
