Distances are in AU  (Astronomical Units).  1 AU is the average distance between the Earth and the Sun. (n+4)/10 is the formula proposed by Titius/Bode. The row labelled d shows the actual distances in AU, as measured by astronomers. Notice that the value predicted for Neptune actually seems to fit Pluto, while the value predicted for Pluto does not seem to correspond to any known object. 1992QB is the first member of the expected Kuiper Belt.
