1  The syllabus follows in part the recommendations included in the IFIP TC3 (Education Committee) and TC9 (Relationship between Computers and Society Committee) Joint Task Group's Report on  History in the Computing Curriculum.  This report appears in the IEEE Annals of the History of Computing ,  Vol. 21, No. 1, January-March 1999.

2  The outlines included in this website are, literally, only OUTLINES. They are NOT transcripts of the actual lectures ! To really benefit from the course (i.e. to earn a decent grade), you must read and study the outlines, use the Library, and attend classes.

3  Please check this list frequently, since from time to time I will add new references.
