2011

  • Development of Project Advisory Committee.
  • Revision of project data collection tools.

2012-2013

  • 100 Surveys with LGBTTQI people in Ontario who have used or are using home care services.
  • 40 Interviews with LGBTTQI people in Ontario who have used or are using home care services.
  • 10 Interviews with people working in health and social service agencies who refer LGBTTQI people to home care services including Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) across Ontario.

2013-2014

  • 300 Surveys with home care service providers (nurses, personal support workers, social workers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists).
  • 5 Focus groups with home care service providers and CCAC coordinators.

2014-2015

  • 10 Interviews with CCAC administrators to discuss the home care specific LGBTTQI A&E Framework.
  • Revisions to A&E framework based on study findings.
  • Knowledge transfer and exchange activities to disseminate research findings to key stakeholder groups including Ontario's LGBTTQI communities, home care service providers, CCACs, and provincial and federal health decision-makers as well as local and national home care service organizations.
