Diplomas and certificates are kept on file for approximately one year following the convocation ceremony.
- June convocation diplomas and certificates are kept until the following June 1.
- October convocation diplomas and certificates are kept until the following October 1.
Contact Student Client Services at 416-872-YORK (9675) if you graduated within these timeframes but never received your original diploma or certificate. You can either pick it up at Student Client Services in the lobby of the Bennett Centre for Student Services during regular office hours or you may arrange to have it mailed to you. If you graduated outside the timeframes shown above, you must request and pay for a new diploma or certificate. Look below for: How do I obtain an additional or replacement diploma or certificate?
Diplomas and certificates are not available for pick-up immediately following a convocation ceremony. If you want to pick up a June diploma or certificate, you can do so beginning the first business day in July. If you want to pick up an October diploma or certificate, you can do so beginning the first business day in November.
A third party may pick up a diploma or certificate on your behalf provided they have a signed letter of authorization from you allowing them to do so. Additionally, they will have to show their own photo identification when they pick it up.
