New Beat is a magazine run by students for students. Our focus is on student life within York University and within New College, in particular. Learn more about what is going on at New College, it's programs, it's clubs and events. New Beat also offers student-focused lifestyle articles that will educate and entertain.

Volunteer Opportunities
New Beat is a new magazine that is maturing in content, form and visual appeal with each issue. Volunteering for New Beat magazine is a great way to build experience and knowledge, and an excellent opportunity to build a strong network of references while building your writing portfolio. As the New Beat readership grows, it will need writers, editors and graphic designers to keep it running and evolving. So, if you're interested in building your commercial portfolio, this may just be the opportunity for you.
