Peers Assisting Student Success (PASS)

PASS stands for Peers Assisting Student Success a peer-led support program that targets historically difficult academic courses. It is based on Supplemental Instruction programs that have been successful in increasing the grades and academic success of participating students in many universities across the world.

Its free, voluntary and no grade is assigned for either attendance or participation levels. Any student can come whenever they want, as many times as they want.

At PASS sessions, students review learning strategies and work on problems together as the session integrates what to learn with how to learn.

Think of it as a study group led by a peer facilitator/leader that has already taken and been successful in the course.

The program is non-remedial and is designed to develop skills and strategies which will enable students not only to do well in their current courses but throughout their whole academic career

Hear about what students and Faculty staff are saying about the program.
