What is PASS?
PASS stands for Peers Assisting Student Success – a peer-led support program that targets traditionally difficult academic courses. PASS is based on a program that is used at many universities, and has been proven to increase the grades and academic success of students who attend. It’s free and it’s voluntary – students come when they need to … and no grade is assigned for either attendance or participation levels. At the PASS session, students review learning strategies and work on problems together. It’s like a study group led by a peer facilitator/leader who has already taken the course and done well.
