Accessing Scholarly Journals (and other e-Resources) from Home

Home access logo: keys and a house If your Internet Service Provider is not York (i.e.: Rogers, Sympatico, etc) you will not be allowed to access York's online resources without a password. The library now has a quick link accessing these resources.

Picture of OED and 80th birthday Some students have reported difficulty accessing the OED based in my instructions on the "Helpful Resources" link (thereby making these resources not very helpful, right!?). You can try the alternative of going right to the OED Proxy server (Thank you Malcolm!)

Windows Vista logo Windows Vista and Windows 7 create .docx, .pptx, and .xlsx files by default. These files are not backwards-compatible with Windows XP. If you wish, you can install this .docx converter program for Windows XP
