NOTES
-----

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IS DEFINED AS HAVING ONE OR MORE OF THE
FOLLOWING:

 - TORNADOES,
 - WIND GUSTS OF 90 KM/H OR GREATER,
 - HAIL OF 2 CENTIMETRES DIAMETER OR GREATER,
 - RAINFALL RATE GREATER THAN 50 MILLIMETRES IN 1 HOUR OR
LESS OR 75 MILLIMETRES IN 3 HOURS OR LESS.

WIND DAMAGE IS ASSUMED TO BE CAUSED BY SEVERE 'WIND GUSTS' UNLESS A
SPECIFIC PHENOMENON IS IDENTIFIED (E.G. MICROBURST, TORNADO).

WIND DAMAGE INTENSITY IS RATED ON THE FUJITA SCALE WITH 'F0' BEING
THE WEAKEST AND 'F5' BEING THE STRONGEST.

HAIL SIZE VALUES INDICATE THE ESTIMATED STONE DIAMETER UNLESS
OTHERWISE INDICATED.

RAIN ACCUMULATIONS AND WIND SPEED VALUES ARE MEASURED UNLESS
OTHERWISE INDICATED.

THERE IS CURRENTLY NO SEVERE WEATHER CRITERION FOR LIGHTNING.
HOWEVER, SIGNIFICANT LIGHTNING EVENTS ARE INCLUDED.
