Lab quiz study guide

Dates for the lab quiz(zes) will be announced soon. Each lab quiz will be primarily short answer, and there will be a number of pictures displayed on the screen or test paper. Questions will include pictures of material seen in lab (slides, live/preserved specimens) and may require use of an identification key. There will be questions regarding major features of organisms observed in the lab.

The lab quizzes cover algae, fungi, bryophytes, seedless vascular plants and gymnosperms. If you've already written a major lab writeup on something (e.g. Photosynthesis, Fermentation) it won't be on the lab quiz.

Be sure to know:

You will not be expected to draw out life cycles.

If you're having trouble remembering what something looked like, be sure to check the textbook. You may also want to see if anyone has posted a picture of that organism/structure online: http://images.google.com .
