ABOUT US
Problématique is the official journal
of the Graduate Political Science Student's Association at York
University. Since its initial issue in 1991, it has offered, first of
all, a place to recognize and share excellent work by graduate students
in the York Department of Political Science. Through Problématique,
grad students gain experience with the publication process either by
working on the journal's editorial collective, by submitting articles,
or by critically reviewing submissions. Successful submissions will
also give students an early entry on their curriculum vitae, which can
be crucial to their applications for further graduate studies,
scholarships or even jobs.
Beyond providing a professional tool for grad students at York, Problématique
also offers a space for communication both within York University as
well as between York graduate students and those at other universities.
We aim to solicit a broad range of contributions so that readers can
benefit from diverse perspectives on and a healthy debate about any
given issue.
The Problématique Editorial Collective (EC) is precisely
that: a collective. We strive to reach consensus on all decisions,
recognizing the intrinsic merit of each member's voice. The EC is
comprised primarily of, but not limited to, graduate students in York's
Political Science Department.
