This website uses current Java™ and Javascript technology, and popup windows as part of its regular operation.

The problems that can arise while interacting with this website generally fall into three categories:

  1. Javascript or popup windows are incorrectly set up (solve this)
  2. Your computer and/or its Web browser and its Java™ technology are out-of-date (solve this)
  3. Your computer, the web browser and Java are up-to-date but you still see blank boxes (applets) or a red X in a box. Try reloading the page and the applet should appear. Collected data will not be lost in this case.

 

PROBLEM 1: Javascript or Popups incorrectly set up

    1. Javascript must be enabled (test javascript).

PROBLEM 2: Your computer, Web browser Or Java™ are out-Of-Date

  1. Your computer's operating system must meet one of the following requirements:
    • Windows XP Professional (SP2+)
    • Windows XP Home (SP1+)
    • Windows 2000 Professional (SP3+)
    • Windows 98 (1st & 2nd Editions)
    • Apple Macintosh OS Version (Jaguar) 10.2+, 10.3+ (Panther) recommended
  2. Your web browser must meet one of the following requirements:
    • Firefox 1.5.x or higher (download)
    • Mozilla 1.2.1, 1.3, 1.4, 1.4.1 (download)
    • Netscape 4.7.x, 6.2.2, 7 (download)
    • Internet Explorer 5.5 (SP2+), 6.x (download)
    • Apple Safari 2.0.3 or higher (bundled with OS)
  3. You must have at least Java™ 2 Platform v1.3.1 installed.
    • Follow this link to test your Java version.
    • If your Java™ version is out-of-date, download and install the latest version.
    • Microsoft's pre-installed version of the Java Virtual Machine will not work !

How to Enable JavaScript:

ie7 Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or Later

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. On the Security tab, click Internet.
  3. Click Default Level, and then click OK.

If the issue continues to occur:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. On the Security tab, click Internet, and then click Custom Level.
  3. Under Active scripting, click Enable or Prompt.
  4. Click OK, and then click Yes.
  5. Click OK.

Internet Explorer 4.x

  1. On the View menu, click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. In the Zone box, click Internet Zone, and then click Reset.
  4. Click OK.

If the issue continues to occur:

  1. On the View menu, click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. In the Zone box, click Internet Zone.
  4. Click Custom (For Expert Users), and then click Settings.
  5. Under Active Scripting, click Enable or Prompt.
  6. Click OK, and then click OK again.

ie7 Firefox / Mozilla and others

  1. Open Firefox / Mozilla
  2. Open the Options/Preferences window
  3. Click on the 'Web Features' tab
  4. check the 'Enable Javascript' checkbox

How to Enable Popups:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or Later

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.
  3. Click Default Level, and then click OK.

Firefox 1.5 or later / Mozilla

  1. Open Firefox / Mozilla
  2. Open the Options/Preferences window
  3. Click on the 'Web Features' tab
  4. uncheck the 'Block popups' checkbox

Netscape & other browsers

  1. Enabling Popups is similar to Internet Explorer or Firefix above.
