Research within the REACh Lab focuses on child, adolescent and emerging adult mental health promotion and risk reduction. Our primary research interest is in the area of mood disorders with a focus on adolescent depression. Specifically, our program of research examines (a) the developmental trajectories of mood disorders from childhood to adolescence to emerging adulthood, (b) school-based mood disorder and violence prevention programs, and (c) community-based programs that address the mental health needs of diverse populations, mainly Aboriginal youth.
