The mission of the Distress Centres of Toronto is to provide emotional support, crisis intervention and suicide prevention to those who request their services. The PRIME Clinic
The PRIME Clinic is dedicated to early identification and treatment of people ages 14-30 who are at risk of developing psychosis. They help people who become distressed by changes in their thoughts, perceptions, and feelings; changes that may be difficult to describe to others. If a person is concerned for his or herself, or for someone they know, phone the clinic directly. A clinician from PRIME will be available, over the phone, to help determine whether the services of the clinic would be of benefit to the individual. If you get voicemail, leave a message and someone will return your call. If after discussion or meetings, they do not recommend that their clinic is right for a person, they will recommend other appropriate care.

Good Food Box
This is an inexpensive and convenient way to eat your fruits and veggies! The Good Food Box program buys top quality fresh fruit and vegetables directly from farmers and from the Ontario Food Terminal, and volunteers pack it into green reusable boxes that are delivered to campus. Volunteer co-ordinators collect money for the boxes in advance of delivery, and make sure that everyone gets their box after it arrives. For example, they have a $12.00 box which they recommend for students that may contain ½ honeydew melon, 3 oranges, 2 pink grapefruit, 4 apples, 4 bananas, 2 green peppers, 1 bag of broccoli, 4 potatoes, 1 bunch of onions, 1 roma tomato, 1 bag of bean sprouts, and 1 bag of coleslaw. (this will vary from week to week). It's a great price and it's delivered to campus!

The Toronto Rape Crisis Centre/Multicultural Women Against Rape works collectively to provide nonjudgmental peer support to survivors of sexual violence and to work toward the eradication of violence against women and children. The New Women's College Hospital: Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Care Centre
The Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Care Centre provides emergency care and counselling services to victims of sexual assault and follow-up care for victims of domestic violence. The 519 Church Street Community Centre
The 519 is open to everyone, with a special focus on LGBT programming. They have over 300 groups using meeting space, providing community services and offering self help programs. Counselling is available on topics as diverse as: coming out, lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgendered issues, relationship problems, sexual abuse or sexual assault, grief, depression, partner abuse, stress, aging, etc. Appointments take place at the community centre and are completely confidential and free of charge. To arrange an appointment leave a voice mail for the counselling supervisor. The counselling supervisor is not available directly by phone, but does return calls within a day or two. The centre is open Monday-Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm, Saturday 9:00am – 5:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am – 5:00pm.

The Hassle Free Clinic
The Hassle Free Clinic is a community-based clinic providing medical and counselling services in all areas of sexual health. It is the largest anonymous HIV test site in Canada, and is one of the country's busiest sexually transmitted infection clinics. The clinic strives to maintain an informal atmosphere, delivering services in a timely, non-bureaucratic manner. A fundamental principle of service delivery is a non-judgemental, supportive attitude to the treatment of sexual health concerns. There is no health card required in the women's clinic. Men's clinic doctors are paid through OHIP but no one will be refused service without a health card. No health card number is taken for anonymous HIV testing. York Lanes Health Centre has four medical doctors, two registered massage therapists, and one chiropractor on staff to help with your health care needs while you are away from home.
