Notice of Intention to Develop a Program Proposal

York U logo

This form must be filled in and submitted -- normally through the Office of the Dean of your Faculty -- to the Office of the Vice-President Academic & Provost and the University Secretariat before a formal program proposal is developed. Forms submitted directly to the University Secretariat and Vice-President Academic & Provost will be forwarded to the appropriate Dean's Office.

The information provided on this form does not constitute a formal proposal, and will not be judged from that standpoint. It is intended to facilitate early consultations so that any proposal that is ultimately developed benefits from the expertise of others delivering complementary programs, avoids direct competition with or duplication of existing programs, and enables a preliminary assessment of resource implications.

The submission of this notice is one stage in the review and approval process. All program proposals must be approved according to the University's governance policies and procedures. For information on the contents of a proposal and review and approval processes please contact your Faculty council and you may be contacted directly by others who are interested in or concerned about the proposal. Information on this form will be circulated, and you may be contacted by others at the University who are interested in discussing the initiative.

Please fill in the form below.
