LAL 6475: Topics in Language and the Law
This course explores the role of language in the legal system by critically examining two interrelated areas of linguistic research: 1) studies that apply linguistic theories to legal questions (forensic linguistics), and 2) studies that investigate language use in legal settings to address power and inequality.
