The Canadian Japanese-Mennonite Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship available to a student who is Canadian or a landed immigrant, enrolled in a graduate degree program in Canada, doing research that will assist the protection of minority or human rights.
Chinese Professionals Association of Canada
Every year, the Education Foundation of Chinese Professionals Association of Canada (CPAC) provides scholarships and awards to secondary and post-secondary students who have demonstrated exceptional community leadership as well as outstanding academic achievements. The Foundation also provides assistance to students who have maintained above-average grades and are experiencing financial difficulty.
Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation
The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation is generously offering financial assistance in the amount of $12,500 to help students in the development of their artistic careers. The awards are available to students working in painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation will not accept applications from commercial artists or from students whose work falls primarily within the categories of photographers, video artists, filmmakers and craftmakers. IDRC is a Canadian Crown corporation that works with researchers from the developing world in their search for the means to build healthier, more equitable and more prosperous societies. IDRC awards are granted to individuals doing research directly related to and in the context of IDRC’s programs and projects. IDRC does not fund course work, only field research related to a PhD or MA study program and support is provided after successful participation in competitions. IODE Ontario Lucy Morrison Memorial Fund
Value: $600 - $800
Receives memorial donations and contributions from IODE chapters. With this fund, we are able to award bursaries of $600 to $800 each based on need. Three annual scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded for Applied Ecology, Music Performance, Library and Information Science. An annual award for $1,000 is presented to a student at the National Ballet School, Toronto. Two tuition awards are given to students at the Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto.
Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Award
Value: $1,000 - $5,000
Zonta International helps women overcome gender barriers to careers in traditionally male-dominated fields. The scholarship is awarded annually to women pursuing undergraduate or Master's degrees in business management.
Kathy Searles Scholarship

The Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan
Value: $7,500 - $10,000
The Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) is an international programme under which member governments offer scholarships and fellowships to citizens of other Commonwealth countries. The CSFP was established at the first Commonwealth education conference in 1959 and is reviewed by education ministers at their triennial meetings – the only scholarship scheme in the world to receive such high-level recognition.
The George Linton Music Scholarship
The George Linton Music Scholarship is an award of $1,000.00 given to the candidate who can best demonstrate the value of music to the rehabilitation patient and describe the importance of music in their own education or career plans.
The James Lee Foundation Scholarship
Established in 2007 to honour the creative legacy and spirit of the late James Lee, the JLF Scholarship is open to emerging non-professional creative talent from across Canada looking to enter the advertising industry. The annual Scholarship is intended to recognize and help a promising, aspiring talent to do their best work. Ultimately, the award will be given to an up-and-coming “creative rebel” – someone who’s driven to do things differently and has a passion for their craft.
A scholarship of up to $5,000 will be awarded on the basis of the portfolio that demonstrates the most original thinking and craftsmanship according to a judging panel made up of a representative from each of the JLF’s five founding member agencies: DDB Canada, Grip Limited, Lowe Roche, Rethink, and TBWA Vancouver, as well as James Lee's family.

The Ontario On-site Wastewater Association (OOWA) is sponsoring two annual education awards to support students with a strong interest in on-site wastewater systems. The bursary is available to anyone enrolled in an environmental, chemical or civil engineering program. Participants can only receive the award once during their studies and must be conducting research which focuses on onsite wastewater issues, including but not restricted to development of new technologies, including nutrient removal or disinfection technologies, impact of onsite systems on the environment, assessment of performance of onsite systems, including new and old technologies, and soil systems, or operation and maintenance of onsite systems.
The Foundation to Commemorate the Chinese Railroad Workers in Canada (FCCRWC) is a registered charitable organization. The goals of the foundation include promoting the understanding and awareness of the contribution to Canada by the Chinese Railroad Workers who participated in the construction of the first transcontinental railway (the CPR) that united Canada geographically and politically; promoting the awareness of the government's legislation of unjust Immigration Acts against the Chinese pioneers and their families; establishing scholarships; and sponsoring other Canadian charitable organizations to promote Chinese Canadian History.
The Foundation would like to encourage a deeper understanding of Chinese Canadian history by offering a cash award to the top three essays received for this scholarship contest.
