PSYC 6252: Cognitive Neuroscience
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course examines a variety of higher cognitive functions, such as
memory, attention, imagery, language, spatial cognition and executive
function. Evidence for the involvement of specific brain areas in these
functions from lesion and neuroimaging studies is addressed. Prerequisites:
There are no formal prerequisites. However, students should be familiar with
basic principles of brain function to appreciate fully the nature of neural
models of complex cognitive and behavioural processes.
