About the Proposals
To submit a proposal, please fill out this form. Proposals should include the following data:
    1. Name, title, institutional affiliation, address, phone/fax and email of the author.
    2. Short bio-bibliography (please do not exceed half a page).
    3. Title of paper.
    4. Abstract: 300-500 words.
    5. Audio-visual equipment needed.

Deadlines and Mailing Addresses
Proposals should be sent by
February 28, 2010 (final deadline) to each of the following persons:

Please make certain that copies are sent to all three personnel listed above.

Guidelines

  • Individual papers should be scheduled for 20 minutes. Exceptionally and subject to program arrangements, it may be possible to assign a slightly longer period of time for the presentation of audio-visual material. Authors wishing to take advantage of such a possibility should indicate so in their proposals.
  • Pre-organized panels are also welcome. Each member of the panel must submit an individual abstract by the deadlines and to the persons listed above.  Please indicate the organizer or moderator of the panel.
  • Susan Lohafer, in consultation with the other organizers, will be screening the submissions and will send acceptance notifications by the end of January 2010 for first deadline and March 31, 2010 for second deadline.
  • By submitting an abstract, authors give permission to publish it on the conference web site and/or in the printed conference booklet.
  • Only registrants may present papers or panels. Final acceptance hinges on registration (Registration forms and details will be posted later on this web page).
  • A digital version of the paper should be given to the conference local organizers by June 30, 2010 (please follow MLA style sheet). If the organizers and the director do not receive this completed version of your paper, it will not be considered for publication.
  • Selected contributions will be published.

Note: The response to this conference and the venue has already exceeded our expectations and that of any other conference. We advise, therefore, that participants submit and register early, because we anticipate having to limit the number of papers and panels. We want you there, so plan early.
