Student Orientation
Orientation consists of two parts, Academic Orientation (mandatory) and Social Orientation (optional).
Academic Orientation We want you to have a smooth transition to university life and have planned this orientation to help you succeed at York. We will introduce you to the academic services, social activities, recreational activities and facilities available to you, both at Stong and throughout the university. We want to help you make connections.
Academic orientation is geared to your major. To register, click on the appropriate link:

| Wednesday Sept 2, 9-4 pm | English, Creative Writing, Professional Writing, Health Informatics, Health Management, Health Policy |
| Tuesday Sept 8, 2-5 pm | Nursing |
Location Stong Dining Hall
Cost All sessions are free (lunch is included). However, you will be responsible for parking.
Social Orientation (Frosh Week) starts Saturday Sept 5th and continues until classes start on Wednesday Sept 9th.
Residence Move-In Day is Saturday Sept 5th for new students.
Parent Orientation
Stong College Parents Orientation is on Monday August 31, at 6 pm in the Stong Dining Hall, starting with a light supper. To register for the Stong College Parents Orientation, click here.
