NOMINEE - PRESIDENT

ALICIA OPREA (WINNER)

NOMINEES - VP FINANCE

NINAB NISSAN (WINNER)

My name is Ninab Nissan and I would like to become the new Vice-President Finance. I am currently in my fourth year pursing a double major in Mathematics and Economics as well as a bachelor of Education. Tennis is a big part of my life – I love playing, watching, learning, and coaching it. Back in high school I convinced my homeroom teacher to create a tennis team after which I received a gold medal in the Toronto championships and placed 6th in OFSAA. In my senior year, I assisted in coaching the junior tennis team and organized all their practice sessions. I would love an opportunity to bring what I have learned from my experiences in both high school and University to the club, organize more hits, and create a successful 2013-2014 season. Vote for Nissan, your smooth ride to success!

JOHNCARLO PUOPOLO

Hello fellow tennis club members, my name is Johncarlo Puopolo and I am running to be your next VP-Finance. I am currently studying Business Administration at York University specializing in accounting and finance. As you may know, I love tennis! I have participated in countless tennis club sessions and I am an avid fan of tennis. I have enjoyed watching many tennis matches at the Rexall Center. As your VP-Finance, I will apply the knowledge I have learned in school to balance the books and to use the finances to grow the Tennis Club at York University. Vote for Johncarlo to grow the Tennis Club at York University and the game of tennis in our community!

NOMINEES - VP OPERATIONS

ENAD SAMAIN

Hello my tennis champions! my name is Enad Samain, I am currently in my 2nd year studying Kinesiology. Like many of you, I love playing tennis and enjoyed being a member this past year.
Being a tennis and soccer official, has given me experience on managing people and making sure things run smoothly. Running for Vice-President Operations would give me the opportunity to continue and ensure all members are satisfied, and represent TCYU as a leader.
See you on the courts!
Enad Samain

ALAN YEE (WINNER)

Hello TCYU Members,
My name is Alan and I am a third year psychology student. I have always had a passion for sports from basketball to volleyball but the best one of them all is tennis. In high school I was on the boy's athletic association as head of communications. I was given tasks from running intramural activities to advertising events. This time I would like to be given the opportunity of being your vice-president of operations. My plan to promoting our club include not only the YorkFest but more tabling events throughout the year in Vari hall. Throughout the year I have noticed a decline in beginner players. That, or everyone got better. I would like to encourage positivity and make our new members feel less intimidated by our more experienced players. This is a sport that everyone should try! Thank you all for your time and consideration.
Regards,
Alan Yee

NOMINEES - VP COMMUNICATIONS

SUKHMAN SANDHU (WINNER)

Hey guys, my name is Sukhman Sandhu and I want to be your next Vice-President Communications. I have been part of this club for over a year now and appreciate what it has to offer to YorkU students. It brings all the tennis enthusiasts together and allows us to play on indoor courts in the winter without breaking the bank. I am a 2nd year Kinesiology student and so know the importance of sport and exercise. I have experience in communicating and getting the word out as just last summer, me and my business partner advertised and organized our own tennis lessons and taught 12-15 clients ages from 6 to 45 on daily basis. Along with the outrageous money we got to charge, I hope to bring the communication skills learnt during the process. Due to the nature of this job, I would like to add I have also created and maintained two of my own websites in the past. Sorry for the long rant... So, I am confident that I will make you guys proud as a VP Communications exec and am excited to bring my love and enthusiasm for tennis on the courts. Good luck for your exams and enjoy the summer!
Sukhman
