I am an Associate Lecturer in the Biology Department, Faculty of Science & Engineering (FSE), currently on leave from York University.
I have an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Saskatchewan. My graduate work was in the area of plant-microbe interactions, studying the relationship of Rhizobium mutants with host legumes and non-legumes, in the lab of Dr Michael Hynes at The University of Calgary. Most recently before coming to York, I worked as a bioinformatics scientist at Aventis Pasteur (now sanofi pasteur).
