York University and Zipcar Partner to Bring Car Sharing to Campus
York University and Zipcar, North America’s largest on-campus car sharing service, announced a joint partnership to provide Zipcars to campus faculty, staff, and students, as an environmentally-friendly alternative to the costs and hassles of keeping a car on campus. The partnership continues York’s commitment to provide sustainable transportation options.
Two self-service Zipcars—Mini Cooper and Honda Civic—are now available for use 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

the Glendon Campus because of low utilization rates.
Faculty, staff and students will be able to join Zipcar at www.zipcar.com/yorku for $25 per year and will gain access to York University Zipcars starting at $10.50 per hour or $69 per day (prices vary based on vehicle make and model). All members will also have access to Zipcar's network of more than 3,500 vehicles throughout 50 cities in the UK and North America.
