Types of academic misconduct
The types of conduct that are regarded as offences against standards of academic honesty include:
- Cheating
- Impersonation
- Plagiarism
- Improper research practices
- Dishonesty in publication
- Dissemination of information without permission
- Abuse of confidentiality
- Falsification or unauthorized modification of an academic document or record
- Obstruction of the academic activities of another
- Aiding and abetting another person in committing a breach of academic honesty
