Types of academic misconduct

The types of conduct that are regarded as offences against standards of academic honesty include:

• Cheating
• Impersonation
• Plagiarism
• Improper research practices
• Dishonesty in publication
• Dissemination of information without permission
• Abuse of confidentiality
• Falsification or unauthorized modification of an academic document or record
• Obstruction of the academic activities of another
• Aiding and abetting another person in committing a breach of academic honesty
