UNIVERSITY EVENTS & COMMUNITY RELATIONS (UECR) at York University works to advance the reputation of the University through strategic and coordinated stakeholder relations and institutional services in the areas of ceremonials, special events and visitor relations.

UECR manages York's annual convocation, other ceremonials and institutional events and initiatives. The office cultivates and provides stewardship to York's relationships with its primary constituents, including faculty, staff and students; community, private and public sector organizations; and members of the general public.

As the central point of contact, facilitation and co-ordination for the University and local communities on a wide range of community/university engagement initiatives, we bring together faculty, students and staff to support community-university partnerships that advance the University's Mission and address community needs.
