We offer a variety of opportunities for undergraduate students to participate in our research aimed at understanding the mechanisms involved in interactions of polymer-grafted membrane-mimetic surfaces with dissolved biomolecules, e.g. serum proteins and enzymes. On-going research projects in which undergraduate students can participate include:

adsorption of serum proteins onto polymer-grafted membrane-mimetic surfaces;

hydrolytic degradation and oxidation of polymer-grafted membrane-mimetic surfaces in the presence of enzymes.

Currently, we are looking for a student interested in SC/CHEM 4000 8.00 RESEARCH PROJECT to begin in September 2005…

How to apply: Contact Prof. Valeria Tsoukanova via e-mail, valeriat@yorku.ca, or come in person to Petrie Science Bldg., Office 349.
