As part of the IRP process all Divisions, Faculties, and major administrative units at York developed Business/UAP Implementation Plans in the spring of 2008. These plans identify the priorities each is moving forward with their current financial and staff resources and specifies strategies, key results or deliverables, and timelines. The majority of the objectives in these plans are mapped to one or more of the eight priorities of the University Academic Plan.
The Business/UAP Implementation Plans are an essential part of the IRP
framework. Moving forward, the Business/UAP Implementation Plans
collectively will provide consistent annual tracking of the achievement of
priorities. At the same time, through the Performance Management Process
implemented in 2008-09, the plans provide a basis for setting individual
priorities and performance goals for all CPM employees.
1st Cycle
The 45 Business/UAP Implementation Plans completed in the spring 2008 are the product of the first cycle of planning undertaken under the IRP framework. It is recognized that there may be inconsistencies between the plans and pieces missing within individual plans. These are a normal result of engaging in a new enterprise. The experience of developing this first set of plans has been educational. Through an extended dialogue with planners, the IRPO will work with the community to refine this process and support the evolution of an increasingly integrated Business/UAP Implementation Planning process.
Additional information concerning feedback from the community on the 1st Cycle of the Business/UAP Implementation Plan is included in the Progress Update, 1stCycle.
2nd Cycle
A Call for Plans was issued March 9, 2009. For information regarding the
development of the 2nd Cycle plans, see the 2nd Cycle Roadmap.
