Dr. Janet Morrison - BIO

Dr. Janet Morrison has been a member of the York University community for 13 years. She has worked in the Faculties of Environmental Studies and Health, and most recently as a Project Director in the Process Re-Engineering and Service Enhancement (PRASE) Office, where she led the Services for Students workstream. Prior to working at York, Janet held leadership positions in student affairs at the University of Guelph, Bowling Green State University, Medical College of Ohio, and George Brown College. She holds undergraduate and Masters degrees in History; and a PhD in Higher Education. Dr. Morrison has taught at several institutions as a teaching assistant and/or a member of the part-time faculty.
Having worked in the post-secondary sector for over twenty years, Janet remains passionate about student success and community engagement.  She has served as a staff representative on York’s Board of Governors, and in 2010 was awarded the President’s Leadership Award.   An active volunteer, Janet currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and previously Chaired the Board of the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto.
