Deadlines and Timelines for Applications

Deadlines:
The deadline for submission of completed applications to the Rhodes Selection Committees is October 14, 2011 However, the completed application must be reviewed by York University’s Rhodes Scholarship Coordinator before being sent forward to the President for approval.

The following internal deadlines must be met as well:

• Submit completed application to the Office of the Vice President Students (N303 Student Services Centre) by October 3, 2011

Please note:
The deadlines outlined above must be met in order for the President's endorsement to be considered. However, for the best possible chance of winning a Rhodes Scholarship, we highly recommend that you begin the application process well in advance of these deadlines.

Timelines:
Applicants who are shortlisted will be notified in November. Interviews take place in late November or early December. 10 to 14 candidates are invited for interviews. The winners will be notified immediately after the day of the interview. All candidates will be notified of the outcome as soon as the committee finalizes its decision.
